Shockoe Artspace
Since my move to Richmond in 2017, I've had the pleasure of working with Shockoe Artspace, including exhibiting at the Current Art Fair as well as my solo exhibition INTERVAL at the gallery in the winter of 2017/2018.
Unique to Richmond’s vibrant art culture, Shockoe Artspace is a community supported, artist-run, large-scale, non-prof gallery. The mission of SAS is to deeply bolster civic engagement in the creation and understanding of art by providing an enduringly vital platform in Richmond city for a range of student, emerging, and/or professional contemporary artists of exceptional talent from local, regional and international contexts. Through a diverse array of exhibitions, artist talks, forums, and open critiques, we aim to extend the flourishing artistic culture here in Richmond while bolstering the community toward a global discourse surrounding cultural production.Carrie Coleman Fine Art

The Rutter Family Art Foundation exists to support nonprofit arts organizations in Hampton Roads and to bring contemporary art to the widest possible audience. The Foundation operates from the historic Texaco Building on Granby Street in the heart of Norfolk's NEON Arts District. Along with gallery space, apartments for visiting artists and curatorial fellows, the building also has a first floor art exhibition venue which serves as a gathering place and gallery space for exciting exhibitions of contemporary art. Larger exhibitions open every one to two months with programming often complimenting the shows. Group and solo shows, lectures, performance art, artist workshops, curatorial fellowships and juried, invitational and open exhibitions take place in this space throughout the year and are funded by the Foundation.LookSee
